Background:
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) popularly known as drone have been identified as a viable substitute and/or compliment to remote sensing platforms for agricultural monitoring. Drone Remote Sensing have been found to be a potential alternate to bridge the gap between ground-based and satellite based remote sensing applications in agriculture. Some of the major applications have been plant health monitoring, precision agriculture, high throughput field phenotyping, crop loss assessment etc. Understanding the relevance of the technology, Indian Society of Agro-Physics in association with Division of Agricultural Physics, ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute is organizing one day webinar over ZOOM platform on recent developments in drone technology and its applications in agriculture.
